AARTICHOKE STUDIOS helps artists, performers, and creatives, bring their work to life through photography, creative support, and practical guidance.

  • Since launching in September 2024, we’ve worked with passionate creatives and seen our images go on to do some very cool things.

    They’ve appeared on the socials of Aussie comedian Bron Lewis, internationally acclaimed band Sigur Rós, and featured in emerging playwright Todd Kingston’s play, Metro — a Melbourne Fringe selected show that sold out its run.

    To round out our first year, founder Alana Aphoy was invited to exhibit in New Zealand as part of the 2025 Foto Fest festival — a milestone reflecting our growing creative community and commitment to meaningful work.

    Though a small studio, our work has travelled far. AARTICHOKE has reached audiences in 35 countries, with our strongest presence in:

AARTICHOKE x Metro the play

We worked with Metro the Play to create rehearsal, promotional, and social content, helping the debut production sell out it’s Melbourne Fringe season.

  • AARTICHOKE was approached by stage management team, Mik Manages to document Metro the Play throughout pre and post-production.

    The team had a clear brief as to the visual style they were after, and where the photos would be used.

  • Our images were used across marketing material, social media, and press helping the play reach a wider audience and providing the team visuals to showcase their work.
